The USGA Women's Amateur Championship - 1920

Alexa Sterling wins her 3rd successive championship played at Mayfield Country Club, near Cleveland in October. Young Alexa takes women's golf up a notch by defeating the legendary Dorothy Campbell Hurd 5 and 4. Marion Hollins wins the medal round with an 82 a new USGA Women's record. As scores were lowering it's noteworthy that only one player with a 98 earned a place among the 32 qualifiers. There were 114 entries.

The Women's Western Championship 1920

The women's Western is won by Marjorie Dodd (Mrs. F. C.) Letts Jr. at Oak Park Country Club in Illinois. This is Mrs. Letts 2nd win, the first being in 1917.

The Women's Golf Association of Massachusetts - Amateur Championship - 1920

The tournament was played at Belmont Springs and won by Harriot S. Curtis of Essex.

The North and South Women's Amateur Championship - 1920

The legend returns to win at Pinehurst, Dorothy Campbell Hurd.

The Women's Eastern Golf Association 1920

Nona (Mrs. Roland) Barlow won the WEGA again, this being her 5th and final time.

Women's Southern Golf Association 1920

The Women's Southern saw last year's (1919) runner up Marguerite (Mrs. Dave) Gaut of Memphis defeat Mrs. L. H. Beck of Atlanta.

Minnesota Women's State Match Play Championship 1920

The event was hosted by Town & Country club, Eleanor Lightner won and Elizabeth Dean was runner up.
