![]() 1929 The USGA Women's Amateur Championship - 1929 Glenna Collett becomes the 1st women to win four USGA
Women's Amateur championships. This year's event was played at Oakland
Hills Country Club, in Detroit, Michigan. Collett defeated Leona (Mrs.
Harry) Pressler, 4 and 3. Helen Hicks and Virginia Van Wie tied for
the medal at 79. ~~~~~~~~~~~ The Women's Western Championship 1929 Opal S. Hill won the Western which was played at Mayfield
Country Club in South Euclid, Ohio. ~~~~~~~~~~~ The Women's Golf Association of
Massachusetts - Amateur Championship - 1929 ~~~~~~~~~~~ The North and South Women's Amateur

1929 ~~~~~~~~~~~ The Minnesota Women's State Match Play Championship 1929 The event was hosted by Golden Valley Country Club, Gertrude Boothby won and Mrs. Dow L. George was runner up. ~~~~~~~~~~~ The Women's Trans-Mississippi Golf Association 1929 Opal S. Hill won the 3rd Trans-Mississippi championship,
runner up was Marion Turpie of New Orleans who also won the medal with
a 79.
